The situation
A national EMS licensure compact needed a platform that did not exist yet. Member states each ran their own licensure systems, with their own data, their own rules, and their own definitions of the same concepts.
The organization needed one system that could stand up in the middle of all of it, and it needed to be credible to state regulators from the first day.
The real constraint
The hard part was never the application. It was integration across systems nobody controlled centrally, in an environment where being wrong about a clinician's licensure status is a serious problem rather than a bug ticket.
That shaped the sequencing. Getting the data model and the state integrations right mattered more than shipping features quickly, because every state onboarded afterward inherited those decisions.
What we built
As the designated technology partner, I reported to the compact's Executive Director as a separate organization from my employer and led the platform and its public presence from the first decision through launch.

This is the credential behind the regulated and compliance-sensitive work. Healthcare, credentialing, and certification buyers are asking a specific question when they evaluate an advisor: has this person delivered something real in an environment where the rules are not optional.

Technology leadership for a mission-critical national platform serving 600,000 clinicians. Contributed to 99.95% platform uptime. Reduced support demand by more than 45%. Cut peak ticket backlog from 255 to under 50, more than an 80% reduction.
